Quarrying And Production

• Stone Developments Limited (SDL) run the largest quarry and processing operation for Irish Blue Limestone in Ireland
• Two quarry and processing operations in ireland – Old Leighlin, Co. Carlow and Holdensrath, Co. Kilkenny.
• Presence in mainland Europe with a processing operation in Baescles, Belgium
• Reserves of 2 million cubic metre of Irish limetone (approximately 40 years)

SDL quarry 50,000 cubic metres of limestone each year and process 28,000 cubic metres of limestone block into slab.  This slab is sold to the Irish and Belgian markets as slab and also processed further into standard products (mainly tiles and paving). 

Bespoke building products are also produced from this slab for our trading and contracting sectors in the Irish, UK and Benelux markets.
